Research Lab Tech Intermediate

Responsibilities
The candidate will join a translational immunology research laboratory focusing on cancer immunotherapy at the North Campus Research Complex at the University of Michigan. The laboratory provides a fast moving and friendly working environment. The candidate will assist the PI to manage the work flow of the laboratory, including but are not limited to, performing standard cancer biology experiments, managing mouse colonies, keeping track of orders, organizing research supplies, and assisting in the preparation of protocols and guidelines to be in compliance with the university regulations.
The candidate will participate in funded projects with translational significance. A strong candidate should have demonstrated proficiency in biomedical research skills and experiences in immunology or oncology.
Required Qualifications
The applicant must have a BS degree in Biology or equivalent areas, additional education beyond a bachelor degree will be favorably considered. At least 1 year of research experience in a biomedical laboratory is required. A strong candidate should have demonstrated skills in cancer biology, molecular biology or immunology. Individuals with experiences in mouse colonies management, cell culture, molecular biology, lentivirus-based technique, flow cytometry, or oncology mouse models are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to details are highly valued for this position.
Work Locations
This laboratory is supported by the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine, School of Dentistry, and located within the Translational Oncology Program at North Campus Research Complex (1600 Huron Parkway, Ann Arbor, MI).
